
Environmental conditions of the olive trees
This territory presents natural conditions to produce virgin olive oil of excellent quality. By means of traditional methods of collection, meticulously select the fruits of the centennial olive trees. From its very beginning, Acomont has been a cooperative dedicated to the art of olive oil, year after year with constant work and efforts to produce top-quality olive oils. Our work includes the daily control of land works and collection, the careful selection of the best olives, the oil extraction and the final quality control of the olive oil. After many years producing olive oil, there is no doubt about the quality of our products.

Varieties of olive
The varieties of olive admitted by the Protected Origin Denomination is: the variety “Morruda” or “Morrut”, the “Sevillenca” -
both original ones of the “Terres de l'Ebre” - and the variety “Farga”. The most usual variety in our regions is the “Morruda”,
that almost occupies half of the olive tree cultures. The second variety with greater implantation is the “Sevillenca” with a 35%
of the surface. Finally the variety “Farga” between a 10% and a 20%.
